My approach

Art psychotherapy offers everything that normal talking therapy offers with the added dimension of accessing the unconscious parts of you, in a safe and contained way.

Sometimes an image can speak a thousand words. Using metaphor or postcards, creating art, poetry, music, or working with drama, sandtray, clay, puppetry, and the body can express a feeling or thoughts in a safe and contained way.

Providing you with a safe space to relax

All face to face appointments will take place in a relaxing confidential space where you can sit and talk or express yourself creatively.

In-person and remote options

Conveniently located in Wokingham with options for parking. Can’t make face to face appointments? No worries – I’ve got you covered online with Zoom.

Struggling to thrive

Sometimes it can feel difficult to understand why you are struggling, sometimes the cause is clear. You might be trying to come to terms with something that happened but don't know how. You might be someone who is very much in their head but disconnected from their body. You may have tried talking therapies and not noticed any change in how you feel afterwards. Give art therapy a try and experience a deeper connection to yourself.

I am passionate about working with people who feel lost, stuck, overwhelmed and in emotional pain. I offer a space in which you can safely explore your feelings, your fears and your dreams. I work with metaphor, images, art, sandtray, poetry, music, clay, puppets, and the body. Working in this way can bring insight, growth and healing. We can also just sit and talk without any art.

I will work with you to help you feel more grounded and at peace with where you are in your life, so that you feel empowered, capable and lighter.
